Come Work on Lost Trail at our ShinDig this Saturday

ShinDig Volunteer Day
Saturday, July 9, 2015, 8:45am

Our goal for the upcoming July ShinDig is to rework lower Lost Trail, rebenching a section of trail that is damaged.

Please meet at the Burmac parking lot at 8:45am, to leave for the work site by 9.

After the trail work, a free lunch will be provided at the Burmac Trailhead, sponsored by Salida Mountain Sports. As usual, come prepared with water, gloves, long pants and sturdy boots. Tools will be provided. It’ll be hot, so bring hydration and snacks!

Boathouse and River’s Edge Contributions: $10,000 FOR TRAIL CONSTRUCTION!!! The Boathouse Cantina and River’s Edge Bar & Restaurant have created a voluntary one-percent donation program (from all of their sales) to benefit Salida Mountain Trails’ trail construction efforts. This has allowed SMT to contract professional trail building services that would not otherwise be possible! Proceeds from this program provided significant funding for the newly redesigned Burnpile Trail and for all new signage for the Arkansas Hills Trail system. This check is the total collected from January thru June. Show your thanks by stopping by either restaurant for a beer/bite after your ride. No better summer setting and vibe!
