2008 Events and ProjectsMarch 2008 - Awarded a tools grant in the amount of $4555 from Colorado State Parks. We purchased enought tools to outfit a crew of approximately 50. June 2008 - Approval from the City of Salida to build a new trail starting from the parking lot gate on Spiral Drive to the BLM border. Construction begins. September 2008 - BLM Arkansas River TMP is implemented, approval to build aproximatly 20 miles of new trails is implied. November 2008 - We break ground on our first trail on BLM, the Backbone. As the name implies, this trail will be a foundation of the stacked loop system envisioned for the Arkansas Hills side of Salida. |
