The Continental Divide Trail towers above the valley and helps to form the confluence of the Rainbow and Colorado Trails. We are surrounded by world famous trails. With half a dozen 14ers surrounding Salida and a gazillion acres of public lands, it’s about more than just biking. But, the heart of The Salida Mountain Trails network was built by moutain bikers with the goal of developing great beginner and expert riding—accessible from downtown Salida. This means good food, a cold beer and swim in the mighty Arkansas are a pedal stroke away.
We are a riding and hiking community hidden away in the mountains of Colorado. People ride cruisers, wacky fixies and old bikes like it’s their job. A love of trails and trailbuilding is in the water. Many people literally live (here) for the trails.
