Rider Info

Check-in / packet pickup — Rider check-in will begin at 7:30am Sunday morning, in the F Street parking lot. Look for the SMT tent. Volunteers will be on site to check you in, give you your race bib and zip ties, and answer any day-of questions.

Race start —The race will start at 9am sharp. The start/finish line will be on Hillside Drive, across the train tracks from the F Street parking lot. The start/finish line will be visible from where you check in.

Rider swag — All riders get a 2025 FIBArk water bottle at check in. Please be prepared to stash this somewhere, or carry it on your ride. Unfortunately, we cannot hold onto items for you during the race.

T-shirts — If you pre-ordered a shirt, you’ll also receive this at check in. If you did not preorder a shirt, you can buy one in Riverside Park at any point during FIBArk weekend.

Course map + course marking — View and download the route here. There will be ample flagging throughout the course, plus course marshals at key intersections. All flags will be on the right side of the trail. If you are taking a right turn, the flags will be on the inside of the turn. If you are taking a left turn, the flags will be on the outside of the turn.

Rider etiquette — Trails and roads will be open to the public while the race is in progress. Course marshals will be directing traffic and advising non-racers to avoid trails in use. Please ride responsibly and respectfully. This event is a timed race, but the safety of participants and the public are priority #1.

Bathrooms —There are porto-potties in the F Street parking lot at registration, and in Riverside Park one block away.

Medical support — EMTs will be on site to rapidly respond to any injuries. For emergencies, call 911; a dispatcher can then send EMTs to help. If you need assistance in a non-emergency situation, please call me (860-466-0910). If you come across another rider who needs help, please follow the same directions as above. Again, safety > glory.

Water/aid station — There will be water available at the start/finish line, and at the halfway point, in the Beasway Trailhead parking lot. Riders should provide their own snacks.

Awards — Awards will be given out to the top 3 male and female finishers overall, and in the following age categories: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+. Awards will be given out behind the SteamPlant at 220 West Sackett Ave., at 1pm.

Support Salida’s trails! — Proceeds from this event support Salida Mountain Trails (SMT), the nonprofit that plans, builds and maintains singletrack around Salida. If you enjoy the race, and want to see more and better trails around Salida, please consider joining SMT as a member or making a donation
