ShinDig trail work day – This Saturday, June 15 @9AM. We know it is FIBArk weekend, but we have some important work to do. We will be meeting at CR108 at the intersection of Little Rainbow.
Show up a few minutes before 9AM to sign waivers at the SMT trailer. If you are under 18 please have a guardian sign your waiver before sending you off for the work day. Make sure to come prepared with water, gloves, boots, and long pants. Tools will be provided.
Our project will be to install wooden sign posts for the new Upper and Lower Sol Train trails, as well as Upper Lost – where they all intersect with the Little Rainbow as well as on either side of the powerline road. The work is to dig holes, install wooden posts and in some cases hike the posts and tools in for a distance from the nearest road. There are at least 11 of these to install. If you have a truck, please bring – as we will ferry folks, tools and posts to as close to the install site as possible. This is somewhat different than our usual trail work, but is super important to get these in place before we officially open these great new trails!
We will work from 9am to about noon and then head down to Soulcraft for some lunch and refreshments. You will then still have plenty of time (and hopefully energy) to enjoy all of the afternoon and evening FIBArk events.
