Join SMT's Board of Directors - Salida Mountain Trails

We’re looking for new board members to lead Salida Mountain Trails and help us get more done. If you want to make Salida’s trails better, we want to hear from you!

Anyone committed to our mission is welcome to apply for a seat on the board. In particular, we’re looking for folks with experience or interest in fundraising, event planning, trail building/maintenance, and volunteer management.Board members serve two year terms, and do more than steer the SMT ship. Members also sit on one of two committees (trails, and fundraising/events), or otherwise participate in an active, specialized volunteer role (i.e. legal, tech, design.)

We’re also looking for more volunteers for our trails and fundraising/events committees. The trails committee meets monthly to prioritize maintenance and plan new projects. The fundraising/events committee works on everything under that broad umbrella: bike and running races, our annual member party, Salida Bike Fest, sponsorship recruitment, and more.If you’re not sure about the board, but want to do more than the average volunteer, this opportunity is for you.
