Trail Conditions
- Snow
8″+ of snow Monday PM
Using muddy trails causes erosion and forces us to divert limited resources to fix damage.
- Please don't use muddy trails
Leaving tracks? Turn back.
Keep singletrack single.
Last Update: 12/11/24
Snow is melting, but there’s still lots of it left on the trails. Slop may stick around into the weekend.
Get out early when trails are frozen, to avoid creating ruts and causing erosion.
- Color Legend
RED – The trail is not open or using it may be damaging.
ORANGE – Variable conditions exist (snowy, icy, muddy, dry). Not recommended to use the trail; or use it in the morning when frozen if mud is an issue.
GREEN – Get out there!
Seasonal Closures
Seasonal closures are now in effect through April 15 on several Methodist Mountain trails, to protect important habitat that wildlife need to survive the winter. Pregnant deer and elk are particularly sensitive to disturbances, and stand a better chance of survival when the habitat is free of interactions with humans and pets.
