voc pic 3

On June 7-8 (Saturday & Sunday) SMT will join efforts with the Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) and Forest Service to work on the new Cottonwood Trail. VOC requests that volunteers pre-register so they can plan for tools, supplies, food, and camping. Sign up here

You do not have to sign up for both days, and we’ll gladly take only one day if that works better for you.
– Work is from 8AM to 4PM both days.
– Camping: Free camping Friday & Saturday nights.
– Meals provided: Saturday – breakfast, lunch, dinner. Sunday – breakfast, lunch.

Tools are provided, but you will need to bring work gloves, enough water for the day, work clothing to include long pants and sturdy shoes or boots, things you can get dirty in. Again, people can volunteer for only one day if they cannot work both days. If possible – do the whole thing, have a blast, and make a difference!!!

Details will be provided by email after you register, but we will meet each day at the intersection of CR 175 and FS 181 (take CR 175 approximately 7-8 miles up and east of Salida). For further questions, contact: Mike Sugaski at msugaski@bresnan.net 719-221-0774.
