Our fifth annual membership party at the Boathouse Cantina was an overwhelming success! From the membership party and via our webpage, we have over 200 members for this year thus far, and through membership dues, business sponsorships, and silent auction items, we raised enough to build another mile of trail!  The fundraiser helps pay for professional trail construction over the next several years to complete 9 miles of new trail recently approved by the BLM.
If you were not able to attend the membership party, your membership is still very much needed! You can join for this year by visiting us at https://salidamountaintrails.org/membership-program/

Also, big shout out to our membership committee who helped make this event such a huge success, including Susan Dempsey Hughes (chair), Andrew and Teresa Koransky, Rich Jesuroga, Mark and Becky Merklein, Connie Goscinski-Smith, Sue Fosseen, Erin Hunter, Ally Lee, Max Shefte-Jacobs, Chris Miller, Matthew McCulley, Marcel Slootheer, and Paul Maag. If you would like to be involved in helping to plan this event next year, please email salidamountaintrails@gmail.com.

Lastly, big shout out to our partner The Boathouse Cantina. This locally owned restaurant has created a voluntary one-percent donation program to benefit SMT’s trail construction efforts. An additional 1% is automatically added to the pretax food/beverage bill and patrons can opt out if they wish. In addition, The Boathouse contributes an additional 10% of the total collected from this program. Since inception in 2014, this program has provided over $92,000 directly to SMT!

Happy Trails!
